Feral Giveaway!

The Gist

Well, it's Tuesday, November 1st, folks! And that means it's time for us to kick off our monthly Reviewer Drive, where we seek out new willing Amazon Kindle Book reviwers for our monthly Movie Books. The rules are simple. The first 15 people to respond to this post will receive a copy of our next Kindle book, Feral, due out November 30th. To be considered for the free Kindle gift, you must go to our Contact Page, fill out the form, and enter "Kindle Reviewer" in the Title of Your Subject box. That's it!

Bear in mind that we are looking for fans of YA post-apocalyptic fiction that is loaded with sci-fi elements, and sprinkled with a tolerable smidgen of romance. (See more book details here.) If this sounds like your flavor, send us a line in keeping with the rules above and you'll make the list. If the book doesn't interest you, please do not contact us.

Things to Know

We need all reviewers to post on Amazon, but if you can add the same review to your blog, or other book-friendly sites like Goodreads, or even Barnes & Noble, that would be super, but you're not obligated to go beyond Amazon itself.

Books will be sent to you one day prior to actual release, that being Tuesday, November 29th. A Kindle download link will be sent to the same email you used to contact us. Once you've received the book, you will have a whole month to review same (hey, it won't take you more than an hour and a half to read the thing, and it's a FUN hour and a half!). In order to receive the other two books in the trilogy, you'll have to actually post a thoughtful review. (See an example here.)

You're not obligated to post a five-star review. But if you're posting a two-star, we'll take that as a sign that our books are not up your alley and we'll part ways. If you do like our stuff, chances are we'll keep sending you more, IF you keep posting thoughtful reviews.

So, feel free to sign up and become a 711 Press Reviewer! We're waiting for you. . . .

Two New Books From 711 Press this Halloween!!!

Boo! Happy Halloween. For those in for a scary treat, 711 Press has just released "Flight 666", a horrific, but tongue in cheek tale about the lives of seven passengers interweaving during a fateful cross-country trip to Seattle aboard Atherton Airlines Flight 666. But little do they know that this trip will bring them face to face with their worst nightmares, and possibly plunge them into a murky pool of death. This book is guaranteed to make this scary night even scarier. And the great thing about this Movie Book? It only takes approximately 84 minutes to read!

Also out on the 31st, "Mafiosi, Episode 5: New Management." The amazing crime drama set in the 1950s is an homage to great crime sagas such as the Godfather, Goodfellas, Casino, and the Sopranos. In this episode, we discover that when Tommy "Fishgut" Sulteri lands back in town, Vin, Paul, and the Rhino join him on a run to muscle in on Louie Spera's club. Tony Gallo finally decides he wants to throw in on the action as well, but he gets unsettling news from Vincenzo during a surprise visit.

Enjoy these and other titles from our front list.

Drusilla Winters Interview

Drusilla Winter’s mind is like a horrific landscape of comedic brutality. When we read her first manuscript, we instantly knew she was a 711 Press candidate. Filled with tales that would probably even shock the likes of Stephen King, people are surprised to find that she’s a small, gentle looking woman with an innocent voice to match. So, we decided to interview Drusilla, so that her readers could discover for themselves, what makes her mind tick and why she writes such nightmares. Be prepared to be shocked by what you read below:

711 Press: So. Drusilla, how did you get into writing?

Drusilla Winters: Well, most of my story is in my 711 Press bio on the website, but for my fans (if I have any after they read my book, lol) here’s my story in a nutshell. I grew up in Philly, after moving to the states from England. I was exploring the house we moved into and found a box full of old books by Stephen King, Anne Rice, Dean Koontz, Agatha Christie and Daphne du Maurier. I became an addict real quick and went through the entire box that first summer. The rest is pretty much history, as they say.

If you are a mafia buff, you'll love this series. Check it out at http://711press.com/mafiosi/. If you want to review these books as well, just mention it in your email to http://711press.com/contact-us/.

James LaFleur and Gordon Massie Interview

Despite their hectic schedule and the vast distance that separates these dynamic Sci-fi authors, 711 Press managed to wrangle its two promising debut authors for an eye-opening interview, which can be read below:

711 Press: So how did you two get into writing?

James LaFleur & Gordon Massie: We actually grew up together, spending our summers in Europe with each other. Our parents did the same growing up and just carried on the tradition. We were both junior explorers and loved movies like Indiana Jones, so we let our minds run wild. Most of this info is in our 711 Press author bio by the way, if anyone is interested.
