Labor Day Crime! Mafiosi Season One Omnibus Available

Experience the thrilling moments from Mafiosi Season One by diving into the new omnibus that features all 13 pulse-pounding episodes. Join Vincenzo Abruzzi and Paul DeFicco as they chart a course up the ladder of success in a thriving New York crime family, the Paranzanos. Dodge bullets, wine and dine with the elite, and muscle your way to the top in enterprising schemes by reading these juices pages. You won't want to miss the action and drama. Then head over here and pick up Season Two's first episode October 1st.

Here's a description of the first season:

Vincenzo Abruzzi, a young, out-of-work Italian-American male in 1950s New York is approached by his cousin Paul after a neighborhood wise guy puts the word out that he needs to seed a few new spots. A chance meeting with this made man leads to a world of crime and excess after Vincenzo is given the chance to prove himself with a test run. Along the way, he meets both a nice Italian girl who could turn out to be wife material as well as a seasoned "woman of the world," who opens him up to new possibilities. Juggling these women while concentrating on furthering his criminal career without getting whacked by a slew of new enemies proves to be more difficult that it first seemed, but the allure of mob life is also too irresistible, especially when he begins to rise up the ranks with unprecedented speed.

If you like Goodfellas, The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, The Godfather, Casino, and upcoming shows Vegas, you'll also enjoy Mafiosi.

Mafiosi Season One Omnibus Coming September 3rd

Good news for you mafia fans who are awaiting the upcoming third season of Boardwalk Empire. I hear 711 Press author James LaFleur might be reviewing each episode as it airs on HBO. Looking forward to seeing more of what Nucky Thompson and friends are up to in Atlantic City myself, but I'm here to tell you that Mafiosi: The Complete Season One omnibus launches on Monday, September 3rd, while the first episode of season two drops on Monday, October 1st. You don't want to miss either season if you're true fans of crime fiction, particularly the kind dealing with the mafia.

Some interesting things are in store for Mafiosi season two, wherein I take the boys West, to California, which, in our fictional 711 Universe is considered vigrin territory for Vincenzo Abruzzi and Paul DeFicco. I think fans of the first season of Mafiosi will thoroughly enjoy season two.

Mafiosi Season One Closes...Next Stop: Hollywood!

We cannot believe that Mafiosi has wrapped up its first season. This amazing TV Book mafia drama started out promising and ended even more so. Now we must wait a whole year to see what will unfold as Vincenzo, Paul, and Antoinette dig their claws into LA, determined to own the town. From New York to Detroit to Los Angeles, Vincenzo proves his worth wherever he lands. He truly deserves the nickname  Vinny "Luck".

If you're new to Mafiosi and are wondering what all the buzz is about, this is a "TV Book" series that is easy to digest, consisting of 13 mini-books (or episodes), each easily read within a half-hour apiece. Mafiosi is for those of you who miss The Sopranos, as well as for those who loved The Godfather, Goodfellas, Casino, and any mafia related movie that comes to mind. Hey, and for you Mafia 2, The Sabatuer, and Mafia Wars gamers, give your fingers a break, read a TV Book and become part of the story!

See you next season!

Death Becomes Him

Now, I know what you're thinking. By the title, you're assuming Vincenzo bit the bullet. But I assure you, our young mafioso is still alive and kicking. But in this episode, Vinnie learns that death is a numbing fact of the mafia life, and he soon takes to it like a fish to water.

Vinnie has been ordered by the family to knock off his first enemy for many reasons. One, to send a message to the Detroit mob. Essentially when you mess with New York, you mess with death. Two, the only way to become a made man is by making your bones. That means you have to do an authorized hit. If you're a fan of Mafiosi, you might have picked up on the fact that Vincenzo has been climbing the ladder on his brains, not brawn, and though the thought of taking out a major crime boss has his stomach in knots, he knows it's the only way to make it in this family...and to stay alive. For all you Sopranos, Scarface, and Godfather fans, Don Paranzano says this one is for you!

Retribution Breeds Retribution

In Mafiosi Season One, Episode Ten, things take a drastic twist when a group of Detroit mobsters invade Vincenzo's new New York club to confront Carlo, Vincenzo and Paul over the deaths of the club's previous owner. Seems you never know who is related to who and you better watch your back when you join the family, because death is always an inevitable possibility. After threats have been passed, followed by an all out gun battle that leaves both sides unscathed, Carlo takes matters to the top with a visit to the don himself, which turns nasty after a call to Detroit. In the end, there's only one thing left to do: send Detroit a message they won't soon forget.... When you attempt to retaliate on the New York mob, you better get ready for more of the same. Learn how it all unfolds in this exciting episode.
