Kill Factor 2

Some have been wondering what I have planned for the Kill Factor series going forward. Some of the elements I introduced will figure prominently in the series, while others will be scaled back for the sake of story development and continuity. I can't get into specifics, but the core mythos will be intact. Redrum is thriving and Hardrian and company are bent on taking it down at any cost, but there will be much more to the saga than meets the eye. 711 Press co-owner Daniel Middleton has taken over production of the series, and he has come to the table with a lot of great suggestions, so the next few books will be a slight departure from what has come before. But we will definitely be building on what came before for all you fans of the first book.

Stay tuned for more as the series develops. I've seen the design schemes for the next three covers and I am bowled over by the dynamic vision of the artists. They really get it.

Reviewers for Kill Factor

The Gist

Our Reviewer Drive continues this month with a quest to find reviewers for Roger Vallon's Kill Factor. So if you're a willing Amazon Kindle book reviwer, sign up to receive this title for reivew. The rules are simple. The first 15 people to respond to this post will receive a copy of Kill Factor via email. To be considered for the free Kindle gift, you must go to our Contact Page, fill out the form, and enter "Kindle Reviewer" in the Title of Your Subject box. That's it!

Bear in mind that we are looking for fans of Spy fiction/Action that is loaded with tongue-in-cheek conspiracy elements. (See more book details here.) If this sounds like your flavor, send us a line in keeping with the rules above and you'll make the list. If the book doesn't interest you, please do not contact us.

Things to Know

We need all reviewers to post on Amazon, but if you can add the same review to your blog, or other book-friendly sites like Goodreads, that would be super, but you're not obligated to go beyond Amazon itself.

A Kindle download link will be sent to the same email you used to contact us. Once you've received the book, you will have a whole month to review same (hey, it won't take you more than an hour and a half to read the thing, and it's a FUN hour and a half!). In order to receive future books in the series, you'll have to actually post a thoughtful review. (See an example here.)

You're not obligated to post a five-star review. But if you're posting a two-star, we'll take that as a sign that our books are not up your alley and we'll part ways. If you do like our stuff, chances are we'll keep sending you more, IF you keep posting thoughtful reviews.

So, feel free to sign up and become a 711 Press Reviewer! We're waiting for you. . . .

Roger Vallon Interview

711 Press caught up with thriller author Roger Vallon, who has gathered an impressive Twitter following in just one week (over 640 followers interested in his new series, called Kill Factor). We had a few questions for Roger that we figured would tie in nicely with the release of his first book. The results of that interview follow below:

711 Press: So Roger, Kill Factor officially releases tomorrow (08/31/2011), although I see it’s already live on Kindle, lol. We want to congratulate you on your first release. We loved the manuscript when we first read it and it’s even more explosive now that it’s polished and edited.

Roger Vallon: Thanks. I must say, people think writing a book is easy. It’s not; it takes lots of work to hone your writing skills. And following the 711 writing guidelines makes it even more difficult. There were times I almost wanted to kill you guys, like my character Hadrian Black would have :) no offense. But, having the 711 team produce the book with me made it such a wonderful, rewarding experience in the end. I honestly don’t think Kill Factor would’ve been as compelling as it is if not for your guidance. So, much obliged for that.

Almost There. . . .

A few more tweaks on Kill Factor and all will be right as rain, then its off to the trusty editor for a final polish before we push this thing into publication. The new release date is tentatively set for the last Friday in August, I believe--that falls on the 26th. Future books are being plotted as I write this, and plans are looking good for the Kill Factor franchise, though the first one is yet to hit shelves, virtual or otherwise.

The tweaks and rewites are going well, and were, in my opinion, very necessary, since this is the first in a new series and must therefore properly set the tone. I'm pleased thus far, and I believe readers will be as well once they get to devour the final version.

Delay in Kill Factor

While Kill Factor was planned for an April release date, I informed the publishers that I wanted to rework scenes in the movie book for the sake of a more compelling story. Things needed to be tightened up and I felt--and the publishers agreed--that the end needed to be reworked, if not rewritten altogether. Granted, this is a new arena for me, as 711 Press is attempting something quite unheard of with the "Movies & TV in Book Form" concept, and I'll be remiss if I let them down. These titles are supposed to be fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat thrill rides, as it is often repeated to me, and I aim to deliver just that.

Thank you all for your continued patience as I hammer out the kinks. But I do believe the end result will be a satisfying one.

Kill Factor in Full Throttle

Just wanted to let all of the new 711 Press fans know that Daniel and I are hard at work with our authors to release several great books this year. We are currently wrapping up book #2 for 711 Press, which is called Kill Factor. The book trailor will be released in April. Kill Factor author Roger Vallon is an amazing writer. His writing puts me in mind of Ian Fleming with a little more aggression. If you like movies like the Bourne Trilogy, you'll love this spy adventure in book form.
