Retired school teacher, MELVYN RILEY, an Irishman by birth, now resides with his wife in England. A lover of fantasy sagas such as Lord of the Rings and Sword of Shannara, he often assigns these novels to his students, thus opening up new minds to the colorful and adventurous worlds he so often enjoyed. Having suppressed a growing desire to write his own fantasy series, Melvyn finally gave in to the urge and decided to try his hand at a YA tale of his own in an attempt to stoke imaginations of his young audience.

Viggo Rapetti

VIGGO RAPETTI was born in Florence, Italy and later moved to Sicily after his parents divorced. He discovered the love of books at an early age, and among the first novels he read was Mario Puzo's The Godfather. Rapetti so loved the absorbing and glamorous world of mob life the book depicted that he soon immersed himself in gangster films of the day. He even watched classics like The Public Enemy and Little Caesar, which starred James Cagney and Edward G. Robinson, respectively, among other notable films from times past.

Joe Humphrey

JOE HUMPHREY is a retired corrections officer who spends much of his free time writing detective stories and collecting antiques. His influences are Hammett, Chandler, and (Ross) MacDonald, though not necessarily in that order. Born and raised in Central America, Humphrey's stories are full of interesting and diverse characters that run the gamut from rich socialites to depraved, well-worn individuals who traipse the broken sidewalks and broad, peopled avenues of his stories.
